Each ProjectArt Library implements one of the two following teacher recruitment approaches:
Art & Social Practice Residency
The Art & Social Practice Residency lasts for one year and employs emerging artists to teach 3 hours/ week while utilizing the library as a studio to engage patrons in the art creation process. By providing emerging artists studio space to create their work, we support their artistic practice while leveraging their background and expertise in art to address the national arts education crisis. Seasonal Teaching Artists
Our teachers are experienced educators with a background in arts and youth development. These teachers conduct weekly one hour classes at either one or multiple libraries.
